Quick Answer

Physiotherapy at Regenesis is one-on-one, evidence-informed care for pain and injury: a thorough assessment to find the cause, hands-on treatment to settle symptoms, and a progressive exercise plan to fix the underlying problem. No doctor's referral is needed in BC, and we direct-bill ICBC, WorkSafeBC, and most extended health plans.

Personalized Care Path

Physiotherapy at Regenesis is a collaborative, evidence-informed process designed to restore and maximize your physical potential. We begin with a deep clinical assessment of your medical history, movement habits, and functional limitations. Our approach is fundamentally multimodal, integrating advanced joint mobilizations, soft-tissue release, dry needling (IMS), and progressive therapeutic exercise. We do not believe in passive, cookie-cutter treatments. Instead, we measure key objective metrics—such as joint range of motion, muscle force output, and functional movement capabilities—to establish a clear baseline and track your improvements at every step of your recovery. Our goal is to help you overcome acute injuries, manage chronic conditions, and build long-term physiological resilience.

At Regenesis, we treat a variety of conditions, from chronic back pain to acute sports injuries. We believe in one-on-one sessions that prioritize your goals. We don't just treat the symptoms—we identify the root cause of your pain to ensure long-term physical wellness.

Who is Physiotherapy for?

Physiotherapy is the right starting point for most musculoskeletal problems: back and neck pain, joint injuries, tendon problems, headaches, post-surgical recovery, and pain after a car accident or workplace injury. It suits people who want a clear diagnosis and an active plan — not just temporary relief. Patients range from office workers with gradually building pain, to ICBC and WorkSafeBC claimants with a funded recovery pathway, to seniors working on strength and balance, to athletes who need an injury properly graded before returning to sport. If you're unsure whether physiotherapy, massage therapy, or kinesiology fits your situation best, book a physiotherapy assessment first — it establishes the diagnosis the rest of the plan hangs on.

What does a first visit look like?

Your first visit is a 45-minute one-on-one assessment with a registered physiotherapist. It starts with a focused conversation: how the problem began, what aggravates and eases it, your health history, and what recovery needs to look like for your work, sport, or family life. Then a physical examination — movement, strength, joint mobility, and any special tests your presentation calls for. You'll leave with three things: a clear explanation of what's driving your symptoms, your first treatment (manual therapy and/or starting exercises) the same day, and a proposed plan with expected timelines and milestones. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in, and bring your ICBC claim number or WorkSafeBC details if applicable.
